FAQs

  • Virtual meetings are always an option, and I’m fully equipped to manage projects regardless of your location. No matter where you are, I can provide seamless, personalized support throughout the entire process.

  • I typically organize photo collections chronologically, thematically, or using a hybrid approach that combines both. The method we choose will be based on your preferences and how you’d like to experience and access your memories.

  • I recommend purchasing a Seagate external hard drive or a solid-state drive (SSD) for this project. I will use it to store and organize your photo collection.

Upon completion, you will receive both the original files and the organized versions. Printed photos will be returned to you either through in-person delivery or secure shipping, depending on your location and preference.

  • For long-term reliability, I recommend replacing your external hard drive every 3 to 5 years. While I’ve personally had excellent experiences with Seagate drives lasting many years, regular updates help ensure the safety and accessibility of your digital photo collection.

  • You would simply ship your printed photos along with an external hard drive containing your digital images. I’ll guide you through each step of the process to ensure everything arrives safely and securely.

  • I typically deliver images in JPEG format, as it is the most widely supported and versatile option. However, I’m happy to accommodate your preferred file format—your needs and preferences will guide the final decision.

  • I retain your photo collection for up to one year after project completion, giving you ample time to review and request any adjustments. I’ll follow up with you one week after delivery and again after one month to ensure your satisfaction.

For subscription clients, I maintain ongoing access to your collection as part of continued service and support.

  • All printed photographs are scanned at 600 DPI to ensure high-quality digital preservation. Negatives and slides are scanned at 4000 DPI, providing exceptional detail and resolution.

This level of quality allows you the flexibility to print your images at larger sizes without compromising clarity.

  • For an additional fee, I offer metadata and keyword tagging services to enhance the organization of your digital images. Adding this information makes it significantly easier to locate specific photos in the future by name, event, or subject.

This service adds long-term value to your collection by making it both searchable and more meaningful.

  • Project timelines vary depending on the size and scope of your collection. Most projects require at least one month to complete, while larger archives are typically completed in phases to ensure quality and thoroughness.

If you require a quicker turnaround, expedited service may be available for an additional rush fee.

  • Most items, depending on their size, are scanned in-house at my office using high-resolution equipment. For items that exceed my scanning capabilities, I work with a trusted professional partner to ensure they are handled with the same level of care and quality.

  • I offer comprehensive photo management services, including organizing digital images, scanning printed photos, negatives, slides, and memorabilia. I can help you archive your entire photo collection and begin building a meaningful Legacy Collection to preserve for future generations.

In addition, I design custom photo albums and create personalized slideshows—perfect for celebrations, memorials, or simply enjoying your memories in a new way.

  • Most of my work is completed from my office in Austin, where I have the tools and setup to efficiently manage and preserve your photo collection. However, I also offer on-site sessions at clients’ homes when needed—particularly for organizing printed photos or collaborating on metadata and keyword tagging to identify people and events.

This flexible approach ensures your collection is organized accurately and meaningfully, with your input guiding the process.

  • We accept cash, credit cards, Venmo, and Zelle.
